Dot NAME Domain Names

Launched in 2001, the Dot NAME generic top-level extension is the only one meant for personal web pages only. These domains can include personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other labels people are famous by. At the beginning, just third-level registrations were allowed, so if you planned to acquire john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and second-level registrations were also allowed. Already registered 3rd-level names remained operational.

Through our company, you can obtain your .NAME domain for an interval between one and ten years. You will have the opportunity to update the WHOIS contact details, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an existing domain to our firm if you acquire its EPP transfer authorization key from the present domain registrar and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been done. There are no specific conditions on who can reserve a dot NAME domain, but in order to maintain the goal behind its creation alive, the Registry organization may check who the Registrant is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain, the registration may be challenged.
